The use of hair oils is as old as mankind itself and its popularity is still growing. More and more people are starting to use them because they find that a small bottle of oil can often replace several other products that end up not even working as well as a few drops of nature's miracle.

In general, the type and method of using hair oil depends on what you expect from such care. It might be:

1. care and healing of the scalp, help with faster hair growth, hair wraps and masks

2. adjustment of the completed hairstyle, prevention of split ends, smoothing of flyaway hair, reduction of hair electrification or increasing glossiness.

In the first case, you apply the oil in the form of a gentle massage or even a wrap directly on the scalp. It is not out of the question to wrap the oiled hair in plastic wrap and a towel turban to keep it nice and warm. This will improve the overall effectiveness of the entire wrap.

In the second case, you only need to use a few drops (literally!) of oil on dry or freshly washed hair. If you want to smooth your hairstyle and increase its shine, spread one drop of oil in your palms and then stroke your hair with them. Or if you want to treat the ends - after washing, put 1-2 drops of oil on the tips of your fingers and rub the ends of your hair with them. They will not be so spread out and you will also reduce static electricity.

Are oils are suitable for everyone?

One would logically think that those with greasy hair would have a problem. But paradoxically, this is not the case! Oils are suitable for the care of all types of hair, because even oily hair is sometimes dry at the roots, while the lengths and ends are as dry as the Sahara.

Are some oils suitable for specific hair types?

Yes! Some oils are denser and heavier, while others are lighter and thinner. You need to choose the one that will most benefit you. You can follow the following classification of oils:

Greasy hair - lavender, rosemary or lemon
Dry hair - olive, argan or almond
Normal hair - coconut, olive, almond or argan
Fine hair - argan, avocado, jojoba, almond

How should you apply hair oil?

Pour a little oil onto your palms and rub them together, including your fingers. Then comb your hair lightly with your hands to distribute the oil evenly along the lengths. If you are mainly concerned with the scalp, proceed in the same way, just massaging the scalp with your whole hands. This way, you won't overdo it with the amount of oil and it will go exactly where you need it.

Will the oil help my hair grow?

Yes, 100%! Apply it twice a week to the scalp and rub it into the skin with a gentle massage using the pads of your fingers. Leave the oil on for at least 1-2 hours. But better overnight. It won't be long before you start noticing new mini hairs growing all over your head. In the same way, you can also use the oil for breaking eyelashes or excessively plucked eyebrows that refuse to grow back.

Help! I can't decide which oil to choose!

If you're on the fence and don't know which bottle to reach for, choose cold-pressed argan oil, nicknamed "Moroccan gold". It is a universal oil that is suitable for all hair types. You can massage your scalp with it, use it to smooth frizzy hair or to care for the ends so they don't split. Its huge advantage is that it does not leave the hair greasy, it can regenerate and strengthen it, and with regular use you can also prevent hair breakage.
